Abandoned mines  Not Wheelchair accessible  No Park and Grab

You can follow in a cool little mining road to the cache.
I thought that this little old road would lead to a nice tunnel, but no. Just a prospect. Clearly those Cripple Creek miners were expecting too much, so much work on the road and so little gained with that mine.

I suggest parking at the Cripple Creek city limits sign a bit southeast. There might be other spots to park but park at your own risk.

Doing some geocaching while my wife played the slots. It was a very nice day and I found several caches. This container as well as the log are in good shape on this one. Thanks to Tom.dog for placing and maintaining it!

This was part of the loop we made taking the dog for a short (ha) walk. But you are so right--- the name makes perfect sense now. Thanks.
