2.5 Mile hike one way A steep climb the last mile and a half. Camoe'd quart sized plastic jar. Well hidden at the End of the Trail.
9690 ft. in altitude. If you want to go to the top of Hicks Mtn. it is another .26 miles up with 392 ft. more in altitude. There is not a trail to the top so it is bushwhack your way there. Cache is on a nice flat out on the overlook. Park at N 39° 40.434 W 105° 26.705 There are several caches along the way. There seemed a need for one at the end of the trail, so here it is.

Congratulations to MorrisonHiker for FTF!

Travelinghiker and I went for a fall stroll today to summit Hicks Mtn. Tree colors were peak and there was a light dusting of snow in the shady areas. We went from this cache straight up to Hicks. TFTC

Found with evgnhiker on a attempt to hike and avoid people. It has been a few years since we have been in this direction and it is a lovely trail. Since it hasn't been in any guidebooks, while some of the other nearby trails are populated, this trail remains fairly quiet. The views are nice from this location and we did follow a trail a bit further in afterwards which leads to another outcropping. There were people in that location with off-leash dogs so we decided to bypass and head straight up the hillside to summit Hicks Mountain. Although there are no trails up the hillside for the summit, the views of South Evergreen and the North side of Mount Evans Wilderness are hard to surpass.

Removed a lighter, a package of cheese crackers, a mini-snickers bar, expired ibuprofin and allergy meds from the container. There was a bit of light nibbling on the outside of the container, likely from the food inside but still in very good shape and kept dry by the hiding spot.

Thanks for placing a cache here.

Great spot to look out over Snyder Mountain. We turned around here, decided no need to actually climb to summit. Gets a fave!
