This cache is hidden in the middle of Lake McIntosh. It does NOT require scuba gear, swimming, or crossing the line into the restricted area, all of which are prohibited in the lake to the best of my knowledge. The cache can be found without leaving your boat.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE WHILE THE LAKE IS FROZEN OVER OR WHEN THE WATER TEMPERATURE IS VERY LOW.

{FTF} at 11:15am. I wasn’t sure I was going to try this one when I woke to a strong breeze this morning as there is nothing like battling across a lake in a headwind. But by 10:30, it had died down so I loaded up the SUP and headed out. While there were lots of walkers around, the lake was pretty quiet. I only spotted 3 other vessels and no one else at the west end. I quickly located the target zone and soon had the rather muddy cache in hand. A little water had gotten into the container but thanks to double bagging, the log was completely dry. While signing, I found I had drifted into the reservation, whoops, so paddled back to the right side of the buoys, repacked everything, dried the container out with the towel I had brought and set the cache back in place. Thanks for the adventure. had forgotten how much fun paddle boarding is. I also need to find more caches with water attributes for various challenges I have signed so thanks for that as well. Definitely a favorite.
