Take Colorado Highway 13 then turn into Jensen State Wildlife Area.

Cache is in a white pvc pipe.
Cache is NOT winter friendly unless you are on snow machine or cross country skis, or you like to hike in knee deep snow. But it will be easy to find if you want to brave the elements to get to it. Cache is within a State Wildlife Area and requires a stamp for access Also access is limited to a time frame posted at the entrance to the wildlife area. Please obey all postings.
Cache was originally placed by dutchmen and shriner and I thank them for letting us adopt it to keep the fun going.

I wound up passing on this one, after finding another cache just off the highway, because of the "stamp for access" needed for this State Wildlife Area. I wouldn't have minded putting a few bucks in a self-pay kiosk (done that lots of times), but I didn't have a stamp, so obeyed the rules. Oh, well....

Well, looks like this cache doesn't get found very often, which is right up our alley. We made the turn off the highway, got through the gate (which is now open) and then drove the 0.8 miles on a very easy dirt road to near GZ and then met up with SHEEP !!! LOTS of them And a couple of shepherd dogs that didn't mind us people-folk, but did do quite a bit of barking at our Jeep. Anyway, parked after going past where the cache was about 350 feet away, and then made a hard left and went up an easy hill, to about 400 feet from GZ. Made the easy walk over to GZ through some fauna (and past several more sheep). SL, traded some swag, and dropped off a trackable of ours (copy tag) which -- if it doesn't move for another year or more -- is AOK with us. TFTC !!!

And, after that very entertaining wildlife adventure, this cache gets the most well deserved favorite point we have ever had the privilege of designating. Not kidding.

Loved the drive and walk in to grab this one. Was with my geopartner, kiddo and 3 newbie cachers that we introduced to the game. Saw a horse 10 ft. off our trail to the cache standing by a trailer. Very rustic. TFTC!

This cache is ALMOST lonely. But beign one of the older ones in the state, we decided to make the trek out here. The road was a bit rough and the local grader was out tearing it up even more. We waved and found a decent parking place near a trailhead. We only had to follow a sparse trail for the last 300 feet. The cache was in great shape! Well worth the adventure out here today. Thanks for keeping this one alive! Very cool placement! It literally was nine miles away from where we were staying. How is that for a coincidence.
