Grabbed this one with my Ranger Buddy who recently moved to Colorado Springs to take a position in our office. We were headed to the top to show him all that Colorado has to offer.
While we were there early in the AM, I'm not sure if we arrived before or after HobbitReader5122. Regardless, we found the cache on the ground. Where found, the cache was exposed to the elements. I was also worried that wind or rain might push the container down the slope as shown in the GZ Photo. Fearing for the viability of the cache, I moved it to a more protected position so that it would not roll away and would be better protected from the elements...see the spoiler photo. This small adjustment is within 3' of where it found on the ground, but I did not have my GPS on hand (it was recently stolen) to confirm coordinates. I hope the CO does not object to this small survivability move.
Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

When looking at the logbook and what had been posted online, it seems some muggles had signed it out of curiosity and left it on the trail.

When we first arrived to GZ we saw a container on the ground (assuming someone had accidentally left it there) and looked for the cache. When we were going to leave my younger brother picked up the container and it was the cache! We signed the log and traded some swag. Hid the cache as close to the posted coords as we could with a bit visible. Found it!

FTF on the way to the summit with my American family.
Edit:
We drove to pikes peak today to visit the 14.000 ft peak. I was here in 2011 with my American family. We went together today again. Last time I was here I wasn’t into geocaching yet so we had plenty of caches to find. There was even a FTF left from a couple days ago. Friends of mine from berlin drove past this morning but had trouble with the altitude so we could go and get it. There were a lot of cracks that would work but we found the container well visible from the track. It was a little further down than I expected but we managed.
Afterwards we continued to the summit and got a snack while enjoying the view. After collecting a few caches on top we also stopped on the way down finding some more. That also helped keeping our breaks cool.
Thanks to JDIBBY for the Cache!
