The Uncompahgre Ute were hunter gatherers. The Tabeguache band was the largest of ten Ute bands. They lived in most of the mountains of Colorado, moving to lower ground in the winter. Those in the eastern mountains hunted on the plains for buffalo in the winter.
They considered the region around Pike's Peak - Tavakiev, or "Sun Mountain" - their home. They considered the springs (manitou) near Manitou Springs sacred, and visited there in the fall.
This cache should be an easy park and grab if you have seen similar containers. It's not a hanging tube, but no room for goodies. Bring your own writing implement.
Please place it back like you found it.
Congratulations trasrud50 for your FTF!
