nickgatt's 31 Days of Geocaching Challenge

The cache is at the listed coordinates, but YOU MAY NOT LOG THIS CACHE AS "FOUND" UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE CHALLENGE!

The Challenge is to find one cache on a given day; two caches on another day; three caches on still yet another day and so forth all the way up until you find caches on 31 days. That means that you need to find a minimum of 496 caches for this challenge. However; they can be done in any order and do not need to be on consecutive days. For instance, on day #20, you might find 29 caches. Now you have your 29-caches-on-a-day completed. A couple of days later you might find six caches. OK, now you have your 6-caches-on-a-day completed. Therefore, the minimum number of days that it would take to complete this Challenge is 31 days.

Additional information:

1. All cache types count.
2. Caches found on any date are eligible.
3. Caches found in any location are eligible.
4. This challenge cache does not count towards the 31 days.
5. Let's say that all you have left to do to complete the Challenge is to find 12 caches on a day. You look at your finds log and discover that a while back you found 16 caches on a day. You might think that this would complete the Challenge for you. Wrong! If you need to find 12 caches on a day, then this means that you need to find (or have found) exactly 12 caches on that day and no more.

To complete this Challenge cache, do the following:
A. Find and log the 31 days of caching which consisted of one cache found on a day, two caches found on a day, three caches found on a day and so forth up to 31 caches found on a day.
B. Find this challenge cache and sign the log.
C. Create a public bookmark called "nickgatt's 31 days of caching - your caching name" with the caches that you found on each of those 31 days of caching. (Remember to include this cache in your bookmark.) Include in the comments field the date that the cache(s) were found and whether this was a 1-cache-day or a 2-cache-day or a 3-cache-day, etc.

Retain the public Bookmark for 3 months after finding the final
OR
you can use the macro that Rainnstar wrote for GSAK. You can download it here and post the results.

This cache is close to a 1x1 find. I hope the challenge is challenging!

My thanks goes to Rainnstar for the idea for this cache. His challenge cache is in North Central Montana.

Congratulations to ZSteve for FTF!!

Finally got the last day I needed for this and, fittingly, it was on Pi Day. Signed the log a few years ago, see note on cache page from 07-27-2017.

DrPowercat has used Project-GC to see if he qualified for this challenge and he did.

Day 3 of my 4th annual caching trip around the US with departure from Salt Lake City, UT on March 7th. Though this trip is primarily a Geocaching and sightseeing adventure, I do plan to stop and visit family and friends in Ohio, Rhode Island, North Carolina and Texas. This year route will take me through 28 states, and I hope to find caches in at least 300 new counties.

With sunny skies, tremendous winds and temperatures in the high 30's, today's travels took me 528 miles from Brighton, CO to MaKeeny, KS. I was able to find caches in 8 new counties today. Trip to date, I have have traveled 1,229 miles.

As per the Challenge Checker on Project-GC, I qualify for this challenge cache. Please see the attached screen shots for my qualifications. All is well with the cache container and log. Thanks nickgatt for the 2nd challenge cache of yours that I was able to find today.

(10/30/18) I signed this one today, but the project-gc challenge checker says I don't quite qualify. I need days with 26 and 31 caches to finish this up. I'll get there and now it's on my to-do list. TFTC!

(11/17/18) I finished this one off with 31 caches on 10/30 and 26 caches on 11/15. Unfortunately, project-gc is either lagging at least 48 hours or cutting off the output. So, the first two pictures below are of the project-gc output, showing that I have all but the 26-cache day, and the last two pictures are screenshots of 11/15/18, showing exactly 26 smilies. I even overlapped a line so you could see that I didn't doctor the results, since I couldn't get all 26 onto one screenshot.

Sooner or later I'm sure project-gc will catch up anyway. But I'm claiming the smiley. Hey, I earned it!
