Welcome to Urban Caving. As you speed down the interstate or drive along any old regular street you may not realize that you are on top of a gigantic underground layout of urban caves. I have been working on finding these cave's entrances and have come up with a few. The cache is not at the listed coordinates but very close. Go here to start searching for the entrances. It may take some mental effort to get to the stages of this cache. Don't go after or in rainy conditions. Please park off of Struthers Rd. north of the listed coords in the big dirt spot.

Struthers Cave:

Struthers cave has a total of three different entrances. See the roughly drawn map and the additional waypoints for coords to each. All of these entryways are close by. Also, for this cave and several others knee pads will be an excellent thing to bring. It will help keep you from getting scratched and bruised up by all of the rough terrain in the cave.

How to do the cache:

This is a two stage multi. Start at Cave 1 and head north to the wintergreen caverns to get your ticket. Don't take the ticket, just look at the back of it. It will tell which cave to go to in order to find the final. Go to the cave that you read of and head in. A quick hint for this cache... If the cave gets too small to go any farther or you feel that you are getting rather smushed and squished you have gone too far. The stages are pretty easy to spot.

I hope that everybody enjoys the cache, if so I will place some more like it. Have fun and good luck.

Congrats to Hartsdale for the FTF!

What a fun cache!! I had a really light day at work and had been tipped off about this one in the past, so decided to use the extra time to tackle it. I brought a change of clothes in the car, but once I got to GZ, I was pleased to see that the path was clean and didn't require any wardrobe changes! Did the bear crawl (hands and toes) so as not to get my work clothes too dirty, and only met a few spider webs. (Thankfully no spiders!) This was the first true tunnel cache that I had done - the others have all been large, walkable tunnels. Great spot. Favorite point for the adventure!

Hi - had a fun stop here (my second visit)... and came away with the smiley after a spelunking tour or two.
I had thought up a vague idea of a series similar to this before I browsed across the ? symbol on the map some time back . I've wanted to do this ever since; and several have come along in our home stomping grounds to 'warm up' on .
Don't know if things 'to the north' are still as intended... I saw evidence that plenty of weathering has run through the cave, but not much else. I just kept 'sploring until I found where to leave my mark (by the still-perfect final).

TFTPC! Came over this way after work today to try and tackle this one. This is only my 2nd urban caving expedition! The tunnels were mostly dry today to help with my adventure. Nice short run! It was also nice that this is early in the year so the spiders and critters are still elsewhere! Signed log and headed out! Thanks for a really fun adventure! Cache is in perfect condition!

Out caching with RPieperco working tougher caches. Apparently we took a short cut and got to the final fairly quickly. Final is in good shape. Tftc!

Have been looking to do this one for quite a while. Figured that after a couple nice days that we've had would be a good time to go. Turned out to be a good choice. A fun one to do... Thanks SL
