Enjoy the cache and read the description about the graduation at the Air Force Academy. It's the momemt all cadets have been waiting for: pinning on butter bars!

Upon completing the academic year at the Air Force Academy, the first class cadet becomes commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force. The graduation ceremony usually consists of a guest speaker (the president, vice president, or chief of staff). The newly commissioned lieutenants take the oath of office, receive their diploma, and salute the guest speaker. At the end of the speech, the lieutenants throw their caps in the air as the Air Force Thunderbirds (a demonstration flying team of F-16s) zoom right over the stadium! Shoulder boards: Butter bars

Found with a large group. Signed as USGC (United States Grandma Camp) Week long boot camp for the grandkids. Had a great time teaching our troops about cadet school. Thanks for the great cache series.
