Well after five (5) years of caching Tahosa has finally lost most of his marbles. And some have said my loss of marbles was caused by my use of a magnetic compass. You will need to find his marbles, so you will know the directions to the next waypoint. And after you have found the lost marbles you will know where the cache is. Knowledge of waypoint projections and map intersections are an essential component of this multi in the hills.
Those who are slaves to Garmin's arrow will find themselves cursing Tahosa's name to hide their own shame. Think before you act, read the map and use the trail if its there!

After you park, go thru the gate, follow the trail to the Sign. Once you have found the sign do a 4°T GO TO the sign from the first set of marbles, Your distance will be .32 miles to the location of the first batch of loose marbles, and more instructions. But you will need a compass, before you are done.
Here is a Rhyme to give some reason to a compass
East is Least and the Truth is Greater

There is a nice FTF prize giftwrapped in the Camo Sack. After that its the junk collected from various caches of mine.

Cache Upgrade - 2012 - Due to those miscreant Irish Leprechauns who play with that Magnetic pole. Things have Truly changed so its time to remember the days of Yore (Drake) and Lil Tahosa who is known as the The Colorado Caboose these days and factor those caches as one of the facets of this cache. And of course that means an upgrade in the D's.

 Hints

1. Go High, Don't go low
2. When intersecting lines of position are used to fix the position of an unmapped feature or point by fixing its position relative to two (or more) mapped or known points, the method is known as intersection.
3. You will need to know how to plot points on a map and use of a protractor and ruler will be of great help.

Another great geocache. I found this one over two hikes with different daughters each time. I found the marbles to be very motivating factors to my younger daughters. There's something very gratifying about finding that cache via intersections or projections that you make in the field. I appreciate the time and effort put into these.

Persistence pays off. I hiked up to get MB5 and the final this morning. For me, this was easily the hardest cache I've done so far on Crosier, way harder than a D3.5. I found the intersections almost immediately, but the projections killed me; I spent much more time looking for them. Learned a lot though. I didn't even know GPS units did projections before trying this cache. The location of the final surprised me. Took a bookmark and left a geocoin proxy. Thanks for a very challenging and educational cache!

I got as far as MB4, but couldn't find that one anywhere. I probably spent at least an hour looking (and another half-hour pulling cheatgrass out of my socks). A few days ago, a family with two very loud and active kids was playing on those rocks, so it may not simply be my ineptitude. It's a shame too, as I was all chuffed about finding MB3 quite easily.

But I can't enter decimal bearings on my Oregon, only whole numbers, so my projection was probably off. I'll have to do it on my computer at home to get more accurate coords.

It's been several years since I last proceeded through the various stages of this wonderful multi, so it was fun to revisit all the locations as Tahosa, animjason, tiny tuttle, my puppy Orizaba, and I checked each location. Path Pacer was along, too, focusing her attention on another cache. I was prepared to tape a replacement code for the Celtic Cross Challenge in the lid of the final stage, if that turned up missing. But all was in good order except for MB1--and that's now in perfect condition. A great outing today!

I teamed up with a fine caching crew of Tahosa, Denal41, Pathpacer, and Animjason on a beatiful day on Crosier Mountain, our aim was collect a few nice smileys on the day as well as a maintenance run for caches that haven't been found in awhile or had missing stages, all was pretty good with only 1 replacement stage on the day. I learned some new things with my gpsr and performed some map work on others, I even nabbed a nice smiley on " Round House" a nice cache place by Tahosa and Icezebra11 as a Beta tester. Thanks Joe for the wonderful hike, which I'm now able to claim Geotouring and Geoteering in which permission was granted, glad to see ya back home Joe lets do it again sometime!

Always fun to find caches that haven't been logged in a long time! I saw on Facebook that Tahosa was going to be hiking this area today so I asked to tag along and was happy he said yes. Had a great time caching with friends and collecting smilies.

I was the tech guy and used my smart phone, still had fun using old fashioned paper maps for a little today as well. It was great learning from and teaching each other along the way. This was a fun one and all was in good shape except for WP1 which is now replaced. Thanks and FAVE!!! I had fun playing with Orizaba as well.

Thanks for the bonus cache publishing soon as well, that was a fun one!!!

Temporarily Disable Listing 06/27/2015 By Tahosa and Sons
While doing a small hike on Crosier, with Icezebra11. We couldn't find of of the stages. And since this cache was not on the priority list for the day's planned sojurn. The decision to disable it has been done, hope to return to this hill shortly.

Found the first set of marbles, even though I started my projection (and UTM math, did it both ways) from the wrong point. Wrong point result wanted me to flap my wings.

Couldn't find Marbles 2.
