Recommended for kids  Takes less than an hour  Available at all times  Available during winter  Short hike (less than 1km)

When this was a T intersection you could look south from this spot and see cows grazing on the hillside, watch people walk along dirt Old Orchard Road, owls nested along the creek and you would hear coyotes at night.  Then they pushed Buckley through to Arapahoe and houses replaced the cows and the Rec Center is where the owls nested.

There is still a ribbon of green along Piney Creek though and you can see beavers and other wildlife, wade in the creek and hike/bike from this spot into Cherry Creek SP to the west/north and Parker to the east/south, passing dozens of caches along the way. This should be an easy find but will require about a 250 meter walk from one of the parking spots.  Recommend using the Rec Center location if you want to hike/bike Piney Creek Trail.  BYOP.  Raised difficulty to 2 based upon feedback.

Congratulations to PayMeCache for being FTF!

No luck today. I’ll be back. Got run off by one of Arapaho’s County’s finest. He said he got a call that someone was trying to figure out how to climb the fence to get in their yard. I told him I was just looking for a geocache, but he wouldn’t leave until I ran off.

Thanks herndonrd for giving me a reason to get outside.

Thanks to Rohatx for letting me know. Walked down and replaced the container. Everything is good to go.

Biked down to this one after grabbing a nearby invasion cache. The cold weather has worked its magic on the container and the adhesive device has separated from the hide.
I rode back to the truck, grabbed duct tape and returned to the cache. That should keep it together until you can check on it. Thank you for the placement!
