Stoney

Look for a large rock in the open. If you cross the fence into Brewster's Park you have gone too far.
Large clear plastic jar with blue lid. This cache is placed along the route to the headwaters of the Rio Grande River, only a few miles away and which flows for thousands of miles all the way into the Gulf of Mexico.

TFTC but needs maintenance, no log to sign so left one in a plastic bag but it won’t last long in CO mountain weather.

TFTC - Found with ATX2662 while on vacation in CO. I love 4-wheel driving!

Found on the way to kite lake. The lid has succumbed to the elements and a chippie has devoured the log. But a beautiful location. TFTC

I came over Stoney Pass by way of Cinnamon Pass. It made getting here a bit of a trip but it was worth it. Thanks!

Tux is adorable. Thank him for putting this cache in a great spot. We came over Stoney Pass from Montrose and the ride has been great. Me and a chipmunk scared each other as I found the hide, think his condo is the split of !?$&@ oops Clown almost gave away the hint. SL BigSmile

It had been over a year since this cache had been found. Beautiful location but a little hard to get to. Retrieved a travel bug that had been in here for over a year. Glad to get it back in circulation.

I have camped down the road at 30 Mile Campground I think for every year for the past 10 years. With this one being so close during this year's outing and with it being an old one to boot, I couldn't pass this one up this year. My dad and son came along for an enjoyable drive. My dad use to take us 4WD'ing in Silverton back in the 70's and we traveled this road many times, but from the other direction. Thanks for keeping this one alive and giving me a chance to relive old memories with my dad. Dropped trackable.
