National Mole Day When : Always October 23rd, from 6:02 a.m., to 6:02 p.m. Chemistry majors, teachers and Chemistry buffs, this special day is for you. National Mole Day commemorates Avogadro's Number (6.02 x 10^23) To thoroughly enjoy National Mole Day, one must first understand what a "Mole" in Chemistry is. A "mole" is a basic measuring unit. It equals the atomic mass of a single molecule. It is measured in grams. This measure was discovered by Italian Amadeo Avogadro. Chemistry teachers celebrate this day, by getting kids more interested in chemistry. They create special lesson and lab experiments around the theme of chemical measurements. Why celebrate from 6:02 a.m., to 6:02 p.m? Look at the chemical formula for a mole. It starts with the number 6.02.

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Smile Thanks so much for the hide poolsharkycat, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!

Enjoying another day traversing the countryside, acquiring many miles and boosting cache numbers and others in between along the power trails!
Nothing better than caching along the back country roads of America! Thanks for placing these out here. Most were in good shape in these sections however i did replaced wet logs and broken containers as needed. Initialed logs

Eeeeew. Moles. We had a bunch of them burrowing around my yard in Arkansas, we launched molepocalipse and only killed one mole. So I thought it was fitting when I opened up the container the entire log was black mold. Got a little laugh and moved on to the next one. TFTC - #1715

I had a much needed geocaching adventure today. I drove over from Denver to Goodland (KS) last night. Got up this morning and continued east to Mingo. Wound up caching my way there and then back towards Denver, ending with a power trail-ish run between Limon and Deer Trail. Got to see lots of sunflowers and even some antelope along the way. Cachly was acting funny, I'm pretty sure it wasn't bringing up all the caches, but oh well. Wound up caching until the sun went down. Now for all those logs…
