Pick up litter along the road from the Loma Exit to the Loma Boat Launch. Meet at the "West Fruita Trailhead Parking" for the Colorado River bike trail. There are outhouses at the Loma Boat Launch and at the Kokopelli Trailhead.

Last I looked there was some big trash that could require a pick up truck. Does anyone have one available?

It was so great to see everyone again this morning, it was like meeting up with people I'd known a long time. :) We got a lot of trash picked up, too! Thank you so much for hosting!

This is Day 3 of adventuring around Grand Junction with FayColSalTom. We were off to a great start with the CITO in Loma and having fun chatting with our new friends. And a big black widow climbed out of the large cardboard thingy FCST found. Made me a bit more careful the rest of the day. After the CITO we headed west to sign challenges and increase our Utah finds. We had a great time caching our way back: solved puzzles, ALs, virtuals, and some really creative hides. The surprise of the day was running into BlueSkiesCindy while we were out and about! Thanks to the COs for bringing smileys to our day!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped make the CITO a success: Jinxer05 for suggesting it, Fay for bringing goodies and a Colorado geocoin to give away, ColoCan and packerle for picking up the glass and hauling everything away in their truck, and everyone for bringing grabbers, bags, and gloves and picking up a truck load of trash.
Fay won the "strangest piece of trash" award for that honeycomb cardboard thing visible in the photo.

What a nice sized crowd of geocachers out picking up trash. Thanks to O2Bhkn for hosting, giving away prizes, bringing supplies and arranging for someone to haul out the trashbags. And thanks to Fay for the healthy treats, I really loved those round strawberries. Everyone did a great job and left that road looking pretty!

I'm on an adventure this weekend to finish all the Colorado counties. It looks like I should be in the vicinity around this time. I'll try my best to make it.

I plan to bring some trash bags and name tags, a logbook, and a folding table. Please bring your own gloves and other tools, and more trash bags if you want to. If you want chairs, water, food, etc, please bring your own. Also there is no shade so bring a hat. If you have a vehicle that can haul larger trash, that would be good.
