As Colorado Territory neared Statehood it became time to pick a State Capital. At the meetings in Golden Colorado it was down to two cities. Those being Golden or Denver.

After some very heated discussion, Golden was leading by one vote. The day of the final vote, Denver became the State Capital with a last minute change by one Repusenative. What was the prime reason for the change in vote? Find the answer after completing the Golden Capital series of Adventure Labs. Entering the proper answer in the checker will reveal the actual coordinates of the cache. Good Luck in finding the cache.

WOO-HOO! This one has been on the list for far too long, and today I had a little extra time to collect some smileys around Golden. Boy did I ever pick the wrong time to look for this one though, the place was crawling with muggles. I had to wait patiently for a good 10 minutes before I finally had a small window of opportunity to search. Luckily it was the second place I looked. As I went to stamp my name, I realized the log was completely full. I strolled back to the car and added a new log to the old log, and save CO Dustyriver a trip. This also happens to be my 500th Unknown/Puzzle/Mystery hide, and for that it deserves a favorite from me! TFTC.

Traveling with GeoWench78 between Colby, KS and Avon, CO; stopping for a few select caches along the way...enjoyed the adventure lab tour of Golden...had to feel for the cache, nice hide...TFTC!

Found on my 2nd stop to the area. Worked on this a couple of nights ago and wasn't sure i'd ever be able to finish but we were back to meet a couple people at Golden City brewery so I came up here beforehand to look for the hide.... super busy place in the evening. Non-stop people walking by but made the find in the 2nd place I looked. Tftc!!!

I really enjoyed this lab cache series. My parents lived in Golden for 2-3 years. I'd run through the town (along Clear Creek), but I never really explored the history and all the old buildings. I found myself stopping at other plaques along the way to learn more. I had to laugh when I got the coordinates to the final. Due to finding some other caches along the way, I had passed by this spot several times. I didn't mind making a stop this time to sign the log. Thanks for the smiley!
