Drive to the top of McClure Pass parking lot drive up dirt road toward chair mountain to trail head of Ragged Mt. trail 820.Hike in to large clearing. Cache is less then 1.5 miles down the trail.
Cache is not a difficult find, it contains a "superbowl maddness book" a James Michner "Legacy" book, Two pair of sunglasses, Marines Corps lanyard, Russian 100 dollar bill, Golf balls, Fishing Lure, Portable radio, Klondike & Snow Video, Hunter Hot Springs Photo (collector), Two pocket knifes (real nice)

Another great cache in the wilderness. I had the entire place to myself, nice Forest Service trail through the woods. Lots of wildflowers and birds. Did not see or hear any big game in the area, but the trees are thick. Coords were spot on, nice that an old cache can still make it. Squishy apple was still there. This would be a great hike for kids, not too far at all from the trailhead. Thanks for placing.

got about .7 miles away and decided we better try again next year; hunting season and it had just rained/sleeted so it was super muddy. the kids were done....we will be back.

Beautiful day on the mountain...the columbine and lupine are in full bloom along the trail. Would not have ventured this far down the road with knowing the trailhead and this cache were here. Was hoping the cache would be in a flower laden meadow with a view...but the journey was worth the somewhat disappointing final destination. Cache container in good shape. Took nothing, left squishy apple, signed log. Thanks for bringing us here!

This was a fabulous hike on a hot day...loved all the wildflowers and the peacefulness all around. Gets a favorite point for the hike alone!

We were not sure if the "road" was correct, the GPS indicated we were way off. Wimped out and turned back before getting to the end of the road. Maybe next camping trip.

First finder in a year, excellent. This was the only Gunnison County cache along my route so I made the extra time for this one. Actually it's a good idea to get one good hike in each day on a road trip, and this was it. All is well here. TFTC.
