I probably would have never gone to the top of this mountain even though its close to home but I was looking at some maps and saw the words "Uncle Bob Mountain". As I am an Uncle Bob and also a Great Uncle Bob I decided to go see the place. The view from the top to the west is very nice so I decided to place a cache here. You can drive a high clearance vehicle (probably even a car) to within 1/4 mile of the cache. The hike to the top is only about a 200 foot elevation change. Just follow the various game trails through the 2 foot scrub brush. Cache is an ammo can with 5 Happy Meal toys, logbook and pencils.

Congratulations to pillager1 for the FTF

Nice hike. When you find it, watch for the large red ants. They are guarding the cache and they bite.
Looking across to Mamm Peak.

Nice little day trip out to see the leaves.  The Aspen are only partly turning, maybe one more week.  Great Views, but watch out for the fresh cow pies (I only stepped in one).  The cache was easy to find after the 1/4 mile hike up the hill.  Forgot our trade items, so TNLN.  Someone ought to trade for the nice stamp kit.  TFTC Pinnacle Pair - Glenwood Springs.

What a beautiful day for a mountain drive and hike! The hunters were everywhere but we didn't seem to bother them any. Left the car about 3/4 mile from cache just so we could have a longer hike. Enjoyed the views when we got to the cache. In one place you can see clear to Rifle. Grandson made the find and as always he enjoyed looking through the goodies. He and his Mom decided on the Christmas ornament. We also took the Baby Boo TB and the Diabetes TB as they had been there quite awhile and figured they would be buried all winter if we didn't grab them. Left money cause I forgot my backpack at home. We had a great time, thanks for the fun and another new spot in beautiful Colorado.

This is a nice little drive! I really enjoyed the views! I took nothing out of this cache but left the Baby Boo travel bug for a friend, some stamps, a Christmas tree ornament and that's it. So, enjoy!!

Nice mountain you have there Bob. The roads and the cache are in great shape, the views are awesome. As soon as I'm done logging this one we're on our way to the event in GWS. Took the "Slimmers" generic geocoin and left a Diabeties TB that had not yet been logged into the cache I took it from, will get that taken care of later. Thanks for a wonderful cache. Happy Trails.
