"The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it. – J.M. Barrie"
Sohn was at the breakfast table reading with his cup of coffee when Vater came stumbling heavily down the stairs in his pajamas. "It was so beautiful! I was FLYING!" the old man said. Sohn looked up and smiled. "A dream?"
By now Vater was at the desk, digging around for a pen and a scrap of paper. "So beautiful. I can still remember the feeling. But those magic words... I'm starting to forget already... It's fading." He began scribbling words on a sheet of paper. "It's fading, Sohn. I have to remember the magic words. I was flying."
Sohn chuckled and turned back to his book. "You're not making much sense. But I've dreamt I could fly too, and I know what you mean. When you wake up, it feels like you forget the secret. You lose the knack."
Vater's pen raced. "Went.... Jets.... Flat...." he muttered. Sohn frowned and abruptly set down his cup and book. At those three words something in him stirred, a faraway and forgotten memory. He walked behind Vater and looked over his shoulder at the paper. "Say, Vater, did you say 'magic words'? You're not making much sense. And yet..."
Here's what Vater had written on the paper:

Sohn was enchanted. "Are they all magic? Are they scrambled?"
Vater smiled wide. "Magic? Yes! All of them -- you need every one! They're not scrambled, they are in just the right order. So, do you really believe me? My dream?"
"I'm not sure yet. There's something mysterious here, that's for sure..."
