ABOUT THE SERIES

The Stanford Hill Series is a 12-cache mini-geotour surrounding the Stanford Hill subdivision in Aurora. Stanford Hill was completed in 2003, and is conveniently situated between Antelope Ridge Elementary, Thunder Ridge Middle, and Eaglecrest High Schools. The 1100+ residents are proud of their clean, peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood. For these reasons, please be discreet and stealthy while geocaching in this area. Please refrain from caching during school arrival and dismissal times, as well as after dark.

You will get the most enjoyment from the series by caching in numerical order. Refer to the “Parking” waypoint in cache #1, “Anteloper” (GC7WFBE), for the closest available parking. The walking distance for the entire series is about 2.5 miles.

Finding the final in the series, “What Does This Hill Stand For?” will require information obtained from within each of the caches in the series. This information is in the form of a numeric code, which when put together in order will give you the final cache coordinates.

ABOUT THIS CACHE

One of the reviewers at Geocaching HQ had me move this one from my original hiding place, as it was too close to the school. Thanks for thinking about our kids' safety. Much appreciated!

We spent a while looking before Sara discovered it laying on the ground. We returned it to where we thought it should be. Thank you for the placement!

When I first found this cache, I was unable to find the numeric code for the Stanford Hill series. Since finding some others I realize that the codes are painted on the inside of the cache caps. Being color blind, the red on black print was difficult for me to read. Found while on my evening run. Thank you for creating this series and helping to keep our recreation going. I look forward to finding them all.

A little nervous because everyone's garage doors were open on this very short street but didn't see anyone - hopefully no one saw us !! Clever hide.

Second time today that I walked up to a cache and saw @herndonrd already poking around. Luckily he didn't have enough time to spot it. So @Windatmyback and I joined in the search. She spotted it and Bob and I teamed up for the big Co-[FTF] at 2:45 pm. Great placement. Alone, I probably would have missed this one. Tftc!
