We placed this cache while camping in the area

This location is not difficult for a mountain area. The cache is in a camo tupperware. There is room to park.

The family and I decided to take a trip to the mountains for a picnic and a hike. Of course I picked where to hike to get some caches along the trail. Need to make my hikes worth while right?

Ended up running into Pixel Magic at the first cache of the day and joined them for the rest of the days excursion. Fire Tower was a highlight for sure.

Ended up having a wonderful day caching, hiking and eating in the mountains. Thanks for the caching fun along our path

Made the drive up to the top to view the Historic Fire Tower today. Disappointed that it was closed. Will try to come back another time.

Got conflicting info about the historic ranger tower - Deadman Road opened recently but the tower is only open on weekends - no three-state view today, bummer. Plan B - we went for this cache. Not an FTF hound, but it's always fun to find a clean log. Mrs. runawaytrain and geomutt made the find - SL, traded swag, rehid - all good here. Drove down the west side for some nice consolation views. TFTC! {FTF}
