Very cool piece of history. Just check under every flat rock because gps has a hard time.

Really cool area. Wasn't sure where to cross the creek. After the drive down, we figured we were the only ones down here but we arrived and another truck was here. They were just as surprised to see us. Really pretty in the fall.

Wow, what a neat hide with lots of interesting stuff to see at this site. The ruins are pretty cool to poke around in. Just before I got to the road, I spent about 30 minutes following a herd of cattle as they moseyed down the road. Thanks for placing this cache here!

Found by using the hint and hunting as GPS was struggling for a good signal. Caching-in beside Cashin.

I had a beautiful fall drive down the canyon next to the creek, and then found the passage to the other side...what's on the other side was totally unexpected. I spent alot of time exploring the area. I found the cache dry and in fine condition. TNLN and signed the log. Many thanks for leading me to such an interesting place!

After all of that, I forgot to add the Favorite. Hey, did I get a FTF on this? I just noticed that! This is getting better and better!

OK....not sure how I want to phrase this. I wish I could give it more than just a "Favorite". A big part of what I really like about geocaching, is being brought to places that I would have never seen otherwise, just like driving down this road in this great canyon. But there are several other reasons why this is a FAVORITE. I'm driving down the road watching the distance tick down on my GPS. I see some old buildings and then my GPS ticks down to 350 feet and all of a sudden the compass swings back! I'm past the cache. The compass is pointing out my window. There is a little distance to the stream, and a little on the far bank the the cliff face....but I wonder if there is 350 feet of space. I get out to check the stream and decide that the cache must be up the cliff face a bit. I unplug the GPS from my pickup and it goes out....low battery! So I put in a new set (I had 2 sets of compeletey charged batteries as backups....I had charged each set all night, the night before I left home. ). I turn on the GPS and nothing....NOTHING. So I try the 2nd backup set....and still NOTHING. I put the original (used) batteries back in and at least it comes on. I cross the stream and walk to the cliff face and it goes out again. Back at the pickup, I plug the GPS back in and decide I really better read the descrioption (and the hint). Without a GPS, I cross the stream again and look at the cliff face. Before I decide to try the cliff, I walk around a little and all of a sudden, it's like a passage to another world! After the drive I had to make, I wasn't leaving without at least making an effort. I found the road again and thought maybe I could get my pickup (with the plugged in GPS) a little closer. As I walked down the road I find an old bridge across the stream...no way will I take my pickup across that bridge! ButI do walk back and drive my pickup to the bridge, but now I'm 450 feet away! So I try to make a line from my present position to the first place I parked, and then I go searching! I read the hint again, and then without a working GPS, found it! One of the best caches I have found TFTC. Dipped my PTB and dropped off a TB. Great cache.
