This Blair-Caldwell Library opened in 2003, it is the only African-American Research Library in the Western Region. It honors both Omar D. Blair, a World War II Tuskegee Airman and Elvin R. Caldwell, Denver's first African-American City Councilman.

Begin your search at the posted coordinates. Head up to the 2nd floor.

At the South end is a Timeline.   Look for the following answers here. (This will be a reference number)

  A-BCD

A=  The last number that appears in all the Big Black Bold numbers on the Timeline.

B  =   The last number in the year that the Cosby Show debuted.

C = The last number in the year that James Meredith enrolled at the University of Mississippi
       With a Troop Escort.

D = The last number  in the year of the Desegregation Drive in Birmingham

Now head to the 3rd Floor of the Museum, enter the portal at the North End and look at the Mural.

Who were the Earliest Explorers that arrived in this Region? (This will give you the location)

Now with this information proceed to the Library downstairs and find the cache in the suggested area.
The library staff will be glad to assist you, if needed.

We came to the library and it was still closed so we had to come back. Getting the information was pretty straightforward but when we got to the final location the container was missing. We asked the lady at the desk and she helped us out. Looks like someone took the container and removed the log and trinkets. We started a new replacement log. TFTC

Note that the 3rd floor closes half an hour before the rest of the library, so if you get there half an hour before closing, do the mural first! Took 3 TBs and dropped one; took a centaur and left some scorpions. Thanks for the wonderful clever and educational cache! #1,208

Nice library and history exhibits of (sadly underappreciated) black history in Denver. My favorite display was the beautiful quilts and mini-theater. I really enjoyed the visit and the cache. Thanks for the fun!
