You will be looking for a match container. Watch out for sharp edges while searching for the cache. Be aware that rattlesnakes are no strangers to these parts
We were driving down the highway when we noticed a very large monument and an historic marker on the side of the road. It seems this marks the end of the Smoky Hill River drainage and the start of the Smoky Hill Trail to Denver. This was supposed to be the quickest route to the Colorado goldfields althought a Denver newspaper at the time noted that those that took the route were "foolhardy and insane" given the ongoing indian wars and the lack of services along the trail.

Once again I found myself replacing what was obviously a missing container in order to get a cache alive and to save a CO a maintenance trip; I hope that was okay. After two straight DNFs, a paucity of hiding places, and damage to the area it was pretty obvious that the container was missing. I didn't have a match container with me, but I had something a bit smaller to leave in place. Nice job and TFTC and history lesson!
