Dogs  Scenic view  Not Recommended at night  Dangerous Animals  Camping available  Quads  Off-road vehicles  Seasonal Access

This cache can be accessed from either the Del Norte route or the Jasper route.  A high clearance vehicle (Jeep or equivalent) will be needed to access the area at Blowout  Pass from the Jasper side.  Fun trip, daylight only.  My first hide with help from dfwcamper.  Cache contains log, pen, swag, and a TB and Geocoin to begin.  The view is worth the trip.  Only attempt during summer months with roads that are passable.

Update 7-3-17. Checked on cache and it has been stolen. Logs and swags are gone. No more ammo cans will be placed here. It has been replaced with a Gatorade bottle but the fantastic views remain. The road from the Jasper side has not been graded so the degree of difficulty with a four wheel drive vehicle has been increased. The Del Norte entry is still maintained and a standard four wheel drive vehicle will suffice. A Subaru Outback has made it to this cache from the Del Norte side.

We did find the Gatorade bottle and signed it. Left a couple of plastic small toys and did not take anything because there was nothing to take but yes, beautiful views.

Checked on the cache and it was again missing. Mr1193 came up with a replacement, so we hid that one and will replace with a better one the next time we are here.

Came up here with the CO for our yearly campout and was very disappointed that our ammo can had gone missing along with all the swag. We replaced the cache with a Gatorade bottle that contains a log and a pen. This is a magical place and I hope we continue to come up here for many more years.

Went to check cache. Original contained (an ammo can) had been stolen. Replaced with a Gatorade bottle and new log. Cache in same spot as before. Still the most beautiful place in Colorado.

I was here last year and signed the log sheet. Came back this way today and thought I would revisit this spot again. Found the container down the hill a bit so I replaced it back where I found it the first time. Looked like someone rummaged through the contents, took what they needed and left. Wish I would have had a replacement log sheet with me but didn't. Still a very cool spot with outstanding views and is worth the effort to make the trip.
