Dogs  Takes less than an hour  Available at all times  Available during winter  Wheelchair accessible  Bicycles  Stealth required  Stroller accessible

This location serves as a prominent demarcation point for our family. Whether it was teaching our oldest to ride his bike, taking the dogs for a walk or getting some exercise, this location stands out in our personal lore. So, it seemed a fitting location for us to hide our first geocache.

This is an easy find. There is no parking in the immediate vicinity. I would not advise parking on the side of the road next to the cache. It is a short walk from some streetside parking on the street immediately to the east of the cache location. There is also a parking lot at the shopping center to the west. Both are fairly close, and much safer parking options.

The walk along Firestone Trail on winter mornings, and summer evenings can offer beautiful sunrise and sunset views of the mountains and Long’s Peak. You can also get impressive views of thunderstorms northeast of here on summer afternoons.

We hope you enjoy our first attempt at cache hiding!

Congrats to cloudskimr FTF!!

(And thanks for being the first to find our first hide!)

My wife and I loaded up our dog and headed north. This cache was our first stop after getting breakfast. It was a chilly morning, so I was glad for this quick find.
