ABOUT THE SERIES

The Stanford Hill Series is a 12-cache mini-geotour surrounding the Stanford Hill subdivision in Aurora. Stanford Hill was completed in 2003, and is conveniently situated between Antelope Ridge Elementary, Thunder Ridge Middle, and Eaglecrest High Schools. The 1100+ residents are proud of their clean, peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood. For these reasons, please be discreet and stealthy while geocaching in this area. Please refrain from caching during school arrival and dismissal times, as well as after dark.

You will get the most enjoyment from the series by caching in numerical order. Refer to the “Parking” waypoint in cache #1, “Anteloper” (GC7WFBE), for the closest available parking. The walking distance for the entire series is about 2.5 miles.

Finding the final in the series, “What Does This Hill Stand For?” will require information obtained from within each of the caches in the series. This information is in the form of a numeric code, which when put together in order will give you the final cache coordinates.

Spent a while looking. Got scratched up a bit but didn’t find the cache

I stopped to find this cache today for a couple of reasons. For starters, I have yet to find a puzzle on September 24th and I was foolish enough to sign a challenge that requires me to find a mystery cache on every calendar day of the year in order to finish it. In addition, I was in the area with LostinDenver and he, being a local Auroran, knew all the answers while this foreigner from Parker was clueless.

The hint made perfect sense when we arrived at the cache location, and I must admit that I laughed when I made the connection. Because of said hint, this became a quick and easy find. Thanks for the fun puzzle, hide, and for helping me get one day closer to completing the Year of the Unknown Challenge.

P. S. No animals (including humans or PayMeCache) were harmed in the writing of this log.

My kids went to Timberline Elementary, Thunder Ridge Middle, and Eaglecrest High. Finding the answers was not too difficult but when I used the checksum it did not equal 22. I went back and checked my answers and was in the process of emailing the cache owner when something was jogged in my memory. I did some research and quickly found my error. As stated in the other logs, one of the answers requires some special knowledge or research. Once at the cache site I had quite a bit of difficulty getting the log out. I ran to the cache site and did not have my usual TOTT (tools of the trade) which would have made getting the log out easy. Thank you for a quality mystery cache. I appreciate the time and effort you have put into creating this nice series. I can imagine that this many caches in full view of neighbors will necessitate a much more frequent maintenance/replacement schedule. Thank you again for the fun.

Have to admit we ignored this puzzle when it first came out since there was no checker but once i heard a checker had been added we dove right in. Very fun puzzle - had to think outside the box for one of the numbers - and quick find since we knew exactly what the hint meant.

Added a checksum for the puzzle solution. Thanks for the suggestion, herndonrd!

Pretty sure I have the right solution but without a checker or checksum can't be sure
