On a day that was projected to be a scorcher, we decided to head to a higher elevation to escape the heat, walk and cache. Golden Gate Canyon State Park was our chosen destination and we thought that getting these caches on the way would be fun. Luckily for us, we were able to make our way up the canyon at a pace that allowed us to stop when we spotted the GZ, no traffic pushing us up the hill. It may have had something to do with it being late morning on a weekday, or it may have had to do with the road work being done. Either way, we enjoyed a relaxing pace up the canyon. We can see how it might be nuts with lots of traffic! We found this cache quickly, and did our usual trick of CITO to disguise our true intent. Took nothing, left yen, signed log. Thanks Team Teman for placing this cache so that we can play! BTW - the high showing on our weather station was 106 degrees, and Denver hit a record high 105 degrees.
