Small cammoed PB jar near Forest Road 271 (a 4x4 trail) in Park County, Colorado

The study of the skies and the heavens. Nowadays a term that is somewhat out of date- we use words like “meteorology” for the study of the atmosphere, and “astronomy” for the study of the stars and planets (Astrology is a different thing all together- more an art than a science and won’t be covered here).

Not to be mistaken for Urology (which is a medical term) or “Your Analogy” which would make a great pun if everyone knew what uranology meant. Now you do, too. Pun away, my friends! Pun away!

Uranography is the mapping of stars, constellations, nebulae and galaxies: every time you look at a star chart, appreciate the hard work of the uranographer who made it.

A map maker who makes maps of the Earth is called a cartographer.

FTF was jherber! Congrats!

Had to cover this one up a little better and secure the lid. The log was a little damp but should dry out. TFTC.

Camping in the area for the night. Dog and I needed some hiking. We parked the 4x4 at the start of the trail and did these on foot.
