Located along the Monument View section of the Grand Junction - Fruita Riverfront trail system. This trail is a beautiful 8 foot wide concrete walking/biking trail that parallels the Colorado River. The cache can be accessed from the Walker Wildlife area parking lot/trailhead and requires you to walk or bike approximatel 1.25 miles each way. If starting at the Fruita Heritage Park parking lot/trailhead, you can expect about 4.5 miles each way. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS THIS OR ANY OTHER CACHES ALONG THIS SECTION OF TRAIL FROM I-70. THERE IS NO SAFE PLACE TO PARK ALONG THE FREEWAY AND FENCES BLOCK ACCESS TO THE TRAIL .
