Welcome to Glen Haven, so close to Estes Park, yet unlike that busy city.

A short walk from "downtown" Glen Haven, the cache is placed next to the Glen Haven Volunteer Fire Dept.  The first to settle this area were homesteaders in 1897.  Today there are retirees, part-time residents, full-time residents, artists, climbers, characters, and even normal people living here.  And lots of nature and critters.

Take a moment to explore downtown Glen Haven (it will not take long).  Glen Haven, the jewel of Devils Gulch Road.

The cache is dedicated to Roger Wiegand, who has had a house in Glen Haven for over 20 years, a math professor, noted climber, and great friend to many.  He has been instrumental in bringing people to Estes, and some to Glen Haven, for hiking, climbing, and other serious outdoor pursuits.  He has selflessly given his time to others to experience and enjoy the mountains of RMNP.  We are grateful and honor this man.

Visiting from Florida, out sightseeing and caching with great friend, AustenKnight and two new little cachers, Coldek. Very much enjoyed this little town. Very much enjoyed this nice find. The two new little cachers were just thrilled with their first cache find. Cache in good condition and nicely placed. Dropped TB. TFTF.
