Frack View



This all started on a normal drive route where I saw a ton of fracking. Now it has become more like barn view, and how many of places can I find to hide a cache. Enjoy caching.

Hint made no sense to be helpful. White flag waved.

Went to bed early last night because I caught a cold. I fell asleep fast. I was dreaming about numbers floating by me as I was floating in the sky. I tried grabbing the numbers that I saw and holding them close. When there was no more numbers I started looking at them and noticed this could be a ridden of some sort. I aligned the numbers and rearranged them till I thought I knew what I was about. Next thing I knew I was awakened by the trash man clanging some metal barrels around outside. I started thinking about my dream. I couldn’t figure out why these numbers and why I remembered them? So I half-awake walked in the kitchen and wrote the numbers down. I made it back to bed and fell asleep again. This morning at lunch I was telling me coworkers about my dream and the numbers. The only thing we could think of was it must be some coordinates to a cache and probably one I’ve thought about a lot. So out the door we went. It lead us here where we did find the cache even though we all thought it was a fluke because it was a long while till we found it. All I can say is thank god for dreams. This one was a pencil breaker! Thanks for the cache.

Thanks to the extra detective work by CoBiker, we pulled this one together on a second trip. Tried his approach myself, and struck out, so good thing he persisted!

Success!!! A hard won {FTF}. I have been working at this and getting my brain fried for a couple of weeks now. I decided my day needed some frustration so I pulled it up again and this time stumbled onto the key to the puzzle. Easy peazy from there. Now I can quit thinking all day long what the hint means. Now I know. A hint for future solvers, it does not mean, no time for (national finals rodeo). Thanks for the challenge Barasaur. Nicely done.

Based on a couple people telling me the numbers on the tank seem to have changed by one digit. I have fixed the math to verify the broken number change. It all calculates out correctly now.

We stopped by after the ALE Event at Weldwerks to give this one a try. After inputting the 8 numbers into the formula it was still not correct on the checker. One of the numbers gives a negative number. Not sure what your hint means. Is the 4 difficulty based on solving it or the hide. No luck here today.
