This cache was placed on the 12th anniversary of the passing of Gus, our hiking companion, and the sweetest Rottweiler you would ever meet.

The housing development didn't exist during the time we walked this area with Gus. New to Colorado, we were staying in the nearby RV park for a spell after traveling around the country. We sure wish geocaching existed then!

Cache is off a level paved trail. Please replace as found. Bring pen, & mosquito repellent may be needed. Happy caching!!!

***Congratulations to OneKindWord for the FTF!***

Good spot for a cache. And a great idea for a cache. And worthy of a favorite. Amazing how the log stays dry in this guy where other 'tighter' caches do not. Thanks estrek for the cache.

I had just started down the trail when two big dogs ran up to me. I was pretty apprehensive, but they seemed friendly. They accompanied me til I left the trail and they kept going. I hope they made it home okay. Awesome cache and nice way to remember your dog. TFTC

Walking the area with my BFF and looking for caches. First was a DNF, second was a "not walking thru that (and previous DNF) Third time was a charm. WARNING TO OTHERS don't bother the bird house, that is not the cache. Keep looking, which we did and muggle BFF spotted the cache. SL and returned better than we found it. I enjoy this type of cache, it can be very challenging. TFTC
