Welcome to the Millennium Power Trail.

This is the longest continues stretch of open trail left in all of Denver area to create an Urban Power Trail. It's not as long as those out on the plain's, but it makes up for it in proximity. I have made a variety of cache styles, sizes and difficulty levels to keep it interesting. So don't get to comfortable with any one cache style.

The terrain varies from shaded park to open grass fields, flat ground to hills. Be ready for a long walk or bring a bike and join the high speed muggles coming and going. Bring water and a flashlight in the event your going close to dark, no street lights out here after dark, other than the park itself.

On the rare occasion that I leave the path, please be extra careful not to trample the area. I have tried to stay out of the tall grass for the most part, but a couple hides are just over the mowing line. I have done some tree hides only where I had no better choice, all of them are accessible from the grass, no need to get scratched up to badly climbing in.

The trail can be accessed by more than one location depending on which way your coming.

#1 The parking lot at the starting point, The Village Green Park, at Dayton St. & Dam Rd.. It's open dusk to dawn, don't let your car get trapped.

#2 The park and ride just east of Yosemite and I-225, park in the lot and walk over the bridge to cross I-225.

#3 The park and ride at Parker Rd. and I-225. Look for the trail access going under the freeway/light rail to the southeast of the parking lot.

Temporarily Disable Listing 06/09/2019 By IgnotusPeverell
Greetings Redknuckles, I'm IgnotusPeverell, one of the volunteer reviewers for caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

This cache was brought to my attention by one or more of your fellow cachers that think this cache is missing and/or in need of maintenance. I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past, and I am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running again in the future. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give you the opportunity to check on the cache, and replace or repair it, if necessary. Cache Owner Responsibilities include monitoring logs for reported problems, updating any changes to the text or coordinates, removing Needs Maintenance attributes, marking trackables as missing if they are not in the geocache, enabling the listing, and more. If you feel you won't be able to maintain this geocache in a timely manner, you may post an update to the geocache page or you may archive it (this will keep the cache from continually showing up in search lists). Otherwise, it can be enabled once you have made repairs. Please use the "Write Note" feature to leave notes on the cache page. Please do not use the "OWNER MAINTENANCE" log until you do the maintenance, and the cache is ready to be found again.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to enable your cache, it will be no problem. You can re-enable the cache page by clicking the link under the cache name or by checking the box that says the cache is active. If a "Needs Maintenance" log was posted, you will also need to log an Owner Maintenance log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" icon from the geocache page.

Do not reply to this email. It is sent by a no-reply mailbot so I won't get it. To contact me with any questions or concerns about this geocache, please e-mail me directly at IgnotusPeverellReviewer@gmail.com, and reference this geocache with the GC number and/or link to the geocache page.

"If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived."

Additionally, please note that if I've not heard from you in 4 weeks, I may be forced to archive this cache. Don't let your cache get archived for non-communication

Thanks for your understanding,
IgnotusPeverell

Like so many before us, it was a DNF for us today.

Spent about 15 minutes trying to locate this bugger with the geosister but came up empty. Give the number of DNFs and it being a 1.5 / 1.5 I suspect it is gone. CO should either replace ASAP, disable or archive. This has not had a find since July of 2017.

Started this series yesterday actually, but unexpected got sick so came back today to grab the rest. NTM and I decided to do these caches out of order just for the sake of time--we were planning to do them in order yesterday, but that did not really work out. It took us about 3.5 hours to get through them and back to the car. The weather was great, and we love winter caching because we do not like running into snakes on our hikes and the vegetation is more clear. Anyway, the majority of the caches in this series were in great condition considering their locations. Thanks a lot for placing these and helping us explore the big city of Denver.

A lot of homeless people are in this area camping out and what not...there is trash everywhere, and it looks like the fence that the cache was on was damaged.

We needed A LOT of caches on this date for a challenge cache we are working on. We were successful in finding only 28 caches today but enjoyed the variety of hides and containers. We had to DNF 6 today----not sure if missing or our eyes are failing us--ha! Will watch the logs and return for a future find.
