The black color of the third horse could be a symbol of famine. Its rider was holding a scale, which means scarcity of food, higher prices, and famine, likely as a result of the wars from the second horseman. Food will be scarce, but luxuries such as wine and oil will still be readily available. The rich will be fine but the poor will suffer as wine and oil represented the richer classes.

Little plug here, I recently read Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch which features the Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse in modern form - highly recommended Smile. How too amazing -- this puzzle find fills my calendar half way! In other words, with this find I now have found a Question on 183 days of the year, which is a challenge I have been working on for just about a year now. So, this particular cache represents the opposite of famine, for me! Approve Thanks for my POTD (puzzle of the day, for Feburary 7th!) and thanks for a quick find, albeit in the snow! I'm in the process of solving as many geoarts and Puzzles in the Texas area and some neighboring states.I'm leaning to start in Colorado Springs and travel thru Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and finally Texas and take about 10 days doing so. My main focus would be to sign the oldest caches in each state as I'm very close to finishing my Jasmir and something I would like to complete this year. Anything else I sign on this adventure is just another bonus in my books.You Never Know Where The Road Will Take You or who you will meet on your path. The hard part for some is actually getting on the road. I’m not afraid of the road; I play on the road!

Happy 4th of July.
we were in town for the woodstock event and stayed at the hotel near the cache.
this was an easy walk and grab at 6 am. pretty brisk air temp though.
had this on in hand the instant we walked up.
tftc. tn, ln, sl and rehid.
log is in great shape. still room for signatures.
