Contratulations to hartsdale for his gazillionth FTF

Two stage multi. Both stages are on the Arkansas River Walk a short distance apart.

Lots of mosquitoes in this area. Terrain is actually pretty level if you use the correct approach, but I set it at a 2.5 due to various hazards such as mosquitoes, ants, poison ivy, mosquitoes, tripping hazards, cactus, snakes, etc. Did I mention mosquitoes? I've seen some down there with white numbers painted on their wings. Mosquito repellent is strongly recommended, as are long pants and sturdy shoes.

Update May 1, 2015. I've been told there is poison ivy in the area of the final, although I did not see any the last time I was there. If you approach the final from the west and follow the path you should avoid most contact with plants along the way.

This is a nice sized container with plenty of room for trade items and trackables. Two travel bugs are included in the initial inventory. Please replace the natural camouflage.

The parking waypoint is the closest place to park. You will be doing some walking. If you need help on the correct approach to the final send me an email.

Stopped by and checked on this one today. The mosquitoes are not around yet, but there is poison ivy in the area of the final. It's not too hard to avoid, but if you are very sensitive to poison ivy you may want to skip this one, at least until late fall. I took a shower as soon as I got home just to be safe. Both stages are in perfect condition. Looking at the log I counted 29 signatures, but there are 36 online found it logs. I know for sure one is an arm chair logger, and a couple of people only found the first stage. Cache on!

I checked on both stages today and both are in place and in good condition. I dropped a travel bug at the final. This would be a good time to hunt for this cache. The reptiles are sleeping, the little bit of poison ivy I saw is dying off, the mosquitoes are gone, and the homeless camp has vanished. Come next spring and all of those may return, so come find it now!

I replaced the first stage in the same location. I think the flood that went through here was a freak occurrence, but if it floods again I'll have to move it to a new location. Meanwhile this one is good to go again. It would be best to approach the final from the west. There is a homeless camp a little ways to the east of the final. You many want to avoid that.

I was down there today and the whole area has been flooded. Stage 1 is a goner. I'll wait till it dries out a bit before replacing it. I think the final is probably ok, but it's difficult to get to right now.

I wanted to check on this cache today and drop a travel bug, but the undergrowth is so thick that it makes it difficult to get there. If you go after this one wear jeans and use lots of bug repellent. It will be easier in the fall after everything freezes.
