Several months ago (I forget how long exactly) I was FTF on a cache from the5millers. Part of the FTF prize was a container. I've had that sitting in my car ever since just waiting for the right spot and the right idea. Finally, today, I figured out what to do with it. 

 

This morning I was in the DTC getting a traditional from the5millers that was making me ask (as I have many times on caches from the5millers) "What did you do here??" So I decided to return the favor. This cache uses a container from the5millers. It's hidden in a style that reminds of the5millers. And it uses a puzzle idea that I loosely took from another puzzle from the5millers. And lastly, it's hidden just down the road from one of their traditionals. So don't blame me. It's all their fault. :) Some may protest that we're just trying to one-up each other. Not true. the5millers has over the past year just been raising the bar on what good puzzles and hides can be. Hopefully that improves the game, the experience and the challenge for everyone in a way that's fun and not frustrating.

 

I think this puzzle version is slightly easier than theirs. I'll give you a hint though. It's a puzzle that I was FTF on if you want to use that for your basis of research.

Finally solved the puzzle after getting a hint from a friend. Found the container on the ground, signed the log, and replaced. Messaged CO with details. Thanks for a challenging one!

Thanks for checking on the cache. After a hide hint from the owner (thanks again), I returned to make the find. I'm surprised that three of us DNF'ed this. Particularly mondou2 who seems to find everything. Actually, I blame in on the5millers (T5M) - it's all their fault! Cheers.

{FTF} @18:55 with PoshCacher..... Well first I have to say that I am completely Humbled by this cache and Honored that we are recognized this way. You the CO were one of the very first geocachers that I met and became friends with. I am grateful to have such a great friend.

When this published I must admit the first part was not to hard for me but for some reason the second part just stumped me. So I stepped away from the puzzle and came back to it later. The. Finally it dawned on me and Bingo!!! Puzzle solved. Half way thru the day I saw a bunch more solvers and was getting worried we would not make the FTF.

After work we headed to the GZ. Now I have a tendency when I look for your hides , the cache is always right in front of my face and cannot see it. This was true here. After about 20 mins finally we had the beautiful blank log and we signed our names. Gave this favorite point for suave and awesome job all the way thru.

Some may say we are crazy, but this game/hobby is one of the greatest gifts. Who doesn’t love a great scavenger hunt. Hiking, biking or driving hundreds of miles to sign our name on a piece of paper. This brings us a lifetime of joy.
