Found this nice little turnoff down the road from Mt. Evans and decided to place a cache here.

You won't need climbing gear (or sherpas) but good boots are recommended.

While placing this cache, I was about 10 minutes from the snow and ABOVE the clouds, so plan for high altitudes accordingly.

Lid to the cache is snug to prevent rain, snow and mountain goats from getting into it.
Please rehide well but leave the clue rock there.

There is a fee to get into the Mt. Evans area but if you're going up there anyway, why not do some geocaching right? The road is closed for the latter part of the year.

Very nearby parking on shoulder of road.

Kicking off the summer with a great American road trip to celebrate M4ISU’s belated birthday!  After months of planning, I am finally on the road with Stephenjha as my copilot.  I am logging as we go which makes it easier to keep track of the HUGE playlist we are hoping to accomplish.  If all goes well, I’ll drive 2500+ miles, add 50+ new counties, see 5 different states, find some cool cemeteries, increase my Fizzy and Jasmer progress, find 20+ virtuals, a handful of Earthcaches, a Wherigo, and maybe a webcam or 2!  It’s going to be a crazy weekend!

TFTC. SL. Thanks for placing this hide for my enjoyment, I really appreciate your effort! CACHE ON!!!

Our first cache of the day. We flew to Colorado for the long weekend to hike and summit some 14ers. We landed at DEN this morning around 7:30, picked up our rental car, and immediately drove to Mt. Evans. Great way to acclimate to the altitude by driving to 14,000+' for a short hike. Glad we brought along our national park pass to save the $15 fee. We stopped by to hunt this cache on our way up the mountain. Found it quickly once a muggle moved out of the area. Popular place to stop apparently. Many thanks.

This was in the open without a lid. I put things back in and put the log in a pill bottle before tucking it away. Thanks for another cache on the mountain.

I must be a dedicated cacher to go after this one in a cold drizzle at sunset at the end of a long day of caching with many miles yet to travel down to Idaho Springs to find a motel, but seek it I did, and find it I did as well; t was pretty easy with the good coordinates and the hint; I even rescued a TB from the container. Good job and TFTC!
