Nice walk near town.If you park in the "W" Mountain Ranch Trail Head parking lot (just east of Teller and San Juan intersection) The trail is 1.25 miles, mostly dirt road. Gunnison had two trains in the early years, the Denver Rio Grande got to town in August of 1881, the other, the Denver South Park, pulled in about a year later. You will travel a ways on one of the old beds and cross the other before you get to the cache. The site is on County land that used to be a ranch. If you don't care to walk you can drive almost to it. The cache is in a 3 pound coffee type can with a plastic cover. It contains Owl Magnet, Tumbled Stones, Packet of Blue Spruce Seeds, Geode, Old Rail Spike, Agate Magnet, and a Gunnison Key Chain.
