Today I hooked up with @WindAtMyBack and @2lablovers to load up our covered wagon and head east. My covered wagon is a newer model, the FJ Cruiser made by Toyota. From Aurora we headed toward Limon and then migrated south and further east. It was a productive day. We managed to avoid bad weather (only a little sprinkling). Along the way we saw at least 15 hawks, a burrowing owl den, a burrowing owl, many other types of birds and one snake. Unfortunately this bullsnake crossed the road at the same time as a vehicle and we only found him lying there, motionless. We also checked out Arroyo, a ghost town. We also saw a bunch of prairie dogs, and most importantly, lots of caches! We found 38 out here and had a great time. Before ending our day we had visited Hugo, Limon, Boyero, and Bennett. Thanks for the fun! TFTC!

Fun day of caching with LostinDenver and WindAtMyBack. Headed east hitting Limon, Hugo and Aroya. Got a total of 38 caches. It was a little hotter than we expected out on the plains but nothing unbearable. Naturally we didn't get as many as we wanted (do we ever?) but that just means we will have to make another trip !

not sure what a plastic bike is but I do know what plastic containers do in the sun. Replaced as needed

Thanks, KB+Witz! A description that leads me to a benchmark gets a favorite point from me. I took a trip to South Texas last week, and I drove by here after spending the night in Amarillo. The time change coming this way gave me an extra four hours to geocache on my way home to Arvada. I love geocaching on the plains, and there are still plenty out here to find. I found a few caches near Lamar, and the others were south of Limon. It was fortunate that the weather was good for this time of year. I hope to be back soon for more.
