I've spent a lot of time on this puzzle and have not solved it yet. Want to continue with my efforts, but based on the last log I'm uncertain it actually makes sense to do so. The Cooker, could you please verify that this cache is still in its place? THANKS!!!

Well, well, I've only been tooling around with this puzzle for the last seven years (!) until I figured it out. That must be some kind of record of futility for me. In retrospect, the previous logs definitely scared me off because I am not a programmer; truth is, I just should've persevered harder because no computer is necessary to solve and once I knew what to do it was figured out in a few minutes.
Yesterday I looked in the rain for about 15 minutes as my family sat in the car, probably laughing at me. Undeterred, I returned today to have a more extensive search with no one around but still came up empty.
Hopefully I will have better luck when I visit again next year and it won't take as long to find as it did to solve.

I have spent many hours trying to solve this one to no avail. I had several ideas, but I never could get any good coordinates. I finally decided that I would join the crowd and write a program that could crunch through the different combinations. It actually didn't take me too long to get my C++ program working, but no answers were coming out. I finally googled the hint and I realized that I did not know what color Lavender is. I guess I just know my primaries. I made the change to my program and out popped an answer. I plugged in my result into geochecker and it returned SUCCESS (to tell you the truth I was a little surprised). This cache turned out to be my 7000th find. Thanks for the challenging puzzle!

As others have said, there are a million possibilities. I finally figured it out a few weeks ago and had time to look for it today. Yep, it was very hard to get the log out, but I managed. SL, thanks for a tough one!!

I, too, wrote a computer program to test all the possibilities, but ended up with way too many candidates to check. The latest hint narrowed things down a lot and I had the solution a couple of minutes later. The place was deserted today so I could search through the snow in peace. SL, TFTC!
