Watch the Prairie Dog colony all around you. About 15 years ago authorities relocated what they thought were all the local prairie dogs, but within 5 years they re-established themselves and are thriving here again. Each year they get closer to the houses and are now moving into the adjacent yards. They've managed to burrow under the nearby street to the east and are advancing up the trail towards Buckley Road. They're cute, especially the babies in May and June. They have their own language, but 'fence' apparently is not part of it! Help protect Unexpected Twist's harvest - if you see them munching on his vegetable garden, feel free to shoo them out.
