Object A
Object B
Object C

The purpose of this cache is to locate 3 interesting art objects in Boulder, Colorado .

Note:  The given coords are NOT the location of the cache.

The purpose of this cache is to locate 3 interesting art displays in Boulder, Colorado by referring to given photos of the objects.  Local residents might recognize the objects and drive or bike right to them.  For those cachers who don't recognize the photos, 2 sets of coordinates are given for a section of the road/path where each of the objects is located.  Traveling between these 2 coordinates will take you past the art piece as described below.

Here’s the Math part:  To log this cache you must locate all 3 objects, record the coords, and then calculate the perimeter (in statute miles) of the triangle formed by the 3 objects.  (Assume you are a paid-up member in good standing of the Flat Earth Society, even if you aren’t.)  Send the perimeter value to me for confirmation.  Logs without submittals will be deleted.

Here are the road/path coords:

Object A (the skull) will be found on the north side of the path between:

40 1.587, -105 14.106

40 1.509, -105 14.665

Object B (the Monsters) will be found on the east side of the road between:

40 1.705, -105 17.348

40 1.433, -105 17.347

NOTE:  Please do not trespass;  stay on the sidewalk.

Object C (the reel) will be found on the west side of the curved road between:

40 3.614, -105 16.791

40 3.492, -105 16.711

The final is at bearings from the 3 objects as follows:

            A:  80 deg

            B:  88 deg

            C:  137 deg

You can visit the 3 objects in any order and at different times;  locating one does not depend on locating another. However, the log is a short distance from Object A.

The log is in a non-standard container placed about 3-4 feet off the ground.  Bring your own pen.

I drove by Object B the other day and saw that the place is up for sale; I'll keep watching and revise the writeup if necessary.

DES added some important information that made finding the final container much easier than the method I originally had in mind, which was go to waypoint A and start looking. It might have worked, given a few years!

I wasn't sure how good my coordinates for waypoint B were, so I calculated the intersection of A and C. That dropped me near a small tree, which didn't really seem like a very DES-ey location. I went back to A and recorded the coordinates again, which were basically the same as before, so maybe I messed up the C coordinates. I decided to just follow the waypoint A projection further out, and voila, exactly what I was looking for.

Finally managed to visit B and C, but I will need to return to A and dig around for the container some other time.
