Cowboy's horse came up lame on a trip back from Silverton.  Cowboy had some saddlebags full of gold ore he wanted to trade for new saddle in Cortez.  But the load was just to heavy for the lame horse. Cowboy had to stash it somewhere and return with a fresh horse.  So cowboy made a cache just a little north of the main trail and it would have to do until he could return.
The cache is a large camo PVC pipe full of swag.  If the cache is visited frequently Cowboy will leave trackables from time to time and resupply the swag.

There are lots of animal tracks and the area is sagebrush and uneven.  There could be unfriendly snakes in the area so be sure to watch before you step.  Do not let small children run loose in the area.  The bushes can be stickery as well.

There is ample parking.  Please recover the cache so it will be a nice find for the next geocacher.

On way back to rv park. leaving in the morning, TFTC
