This is not a quick cache and dash. You are looking for a olive drab ammo can. There is a parking area close to the cache but the climb up is pretty steep. Some light rock scrambling my be required to reach your goal. Be careful and watch out for poison ivy, open range livestock, and wildlife because there is no phone service out there. Remember to turn around and enjoy the view of the Platte River and beauty of Pike National Forest.

I spent a loooong time looking for this one. Luckily I stayed a bit longer. It definitely helped being in the shady side of the lion in the morning. TFTC!

We took a ride on the North Fork trail starting at The South Platte TH. Of course we had to stop & find this cache. Surprised not many on the trail on a beautiful late fall Sunday. Fav point for a cache we could ride horses to.

Found with evgnhiker on the way down the North Fork trail, starting at Reynolds Park. The trail here I think was developed in the past several years and you can easily access the cache from the trail head at the Twin Forks Parking lot. From Reynolds, the cache is about 8 miles and from the lower trailhead, about 1.5 miles. Thanks for placing this cache!

This was a fun one, found good route up and better route down.

My main goal today was to grab the last Trail Mix cache 7:27:00 AM% Thanks! Had a nice time on the Colorado Trail and on my second walk down by the river. I grabbed this one before my hike this morning - because I knew I would be tired and skip it if I didn't! I looked at that last scramble up to the very top and was hoping it wasn't there. Was very pleased I found it without having to try scrambling up there.
