I do work for a tree service company and we have  removed quite a few cottonwood trees for the couple across the road. I didn't know the trail even existed until I saw a car parked on the road one time while we were working so during break I took a walk across the road and took a look. Thought this area would be a good place to place a cache so we placed one here. The trail leads to the back country of the Colorado Monument. Take a hike after you find the cache.

did not have any idea there was a trail to the monument here... can see why it is not signed tho... looked for 40 minutes in and around my bugaboo, those juniper trees... area was well trampled but didnt see anything. very hot and smokey. nice to be retired from fighting fires and sure feel for those firefighters in this heat.

Nice one for international geocaching day!! Thanks!! Started wonders of the world and continued down memory lane. Nice to check so many boxes on a hot, smoky day. Plus never new about that trail to access the Monument.
