You are just down the hill from the portal to Superior, Colorado.

You are looking for a small rubbermaid container with a push-top lid.

Please replace the cache upside-down to prevent ice and water building up in the lid mechanism.

Congrats to Fork L Man for a fast FTF!
Congrats to cachemeinthemood on their very first find!

Tons of dirt moving going on in the area. I might try to see if I can get it this weekend. I had tried once a couple years ago but snow on the ground made it difficult.

Diorex and I are found this cache on our summer geocaching road trip we are trying to get this county, and over 200 more counties, my goal is that I go July 13, 2017to and get a cache in every county in America (3142 of them). I am almost halfway (1571), but we will hit halfway on this trip.

Diorex and I found this cache without much trouble.

4 snails and lots of water in cache.

What follows is a cut and paste log – any details about this specific cache are above

My 11 year old son, Nosirrah52 and I are on a 10 day tour of the American West searching out new counties in which we have not found a cache.

We think of ourselves as county cachers – we rarely enter a new county without finding at least one geocache – at the start of our trip we have made finds in 1555 counties out of 3142 in the United States. Very early in our trip we will pass the halfway mark. If all goes as planned we will find just over 200 new counties on this trip bringing us to about 1750 total counties with a geocache find.

We flew into Kansas City and are driving clockwise from Missouri to Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and then back to KC. On this trip we hope to finish the states of Arizona and North Dakota, which will be our 17th and 18th completed states.

Last year we did something similar driving the outer edge of the Western half of the country and this year we are driving just inside that loop. Here is a link to Nosirrah52’s current county map.

If you see this soon, we are driving the turquoise part and last years trip was in Yellow. As we clinch counties the turquoise will turn pink. The counties are color coded by his age when we first made a find in that location.

His goal is to find a cache in every county by the time he graduates from high school.

We are members of a Facebook group with many other like minded county cachers. If you are a county cacher or just want to hear some of our stories, you are welcome to join us at the County Caching Facebook Group

I am one of the admins and will approve you as I see the requests.

This trip and our entire odyssey is an amazing way to experience the country with my son. The ability to do that is supported by literally thousands of individuals who hide and maintain caches in every county in the country. I am very grateful for the time, effort and money each CO has taken to support our hobby.
