Gollum was originally known as Smeagol.  His name was derived from the sound of his disgusting gurgling, choking cough. His life was extended far beyond its natural limits by the effects of possessing the One Ring. At the time of his death, Sméagol was about 589 years old, but he had been deformed and twisted in both body and mind by the corruption of the Ring. His chief desire was to possess the Ring that had enslaved him, and he pursued it for many years after Bilbo Baggins found it while walking in the Misty Mountains.

The log was gone so I added a very basic log. Another wonderful placement ??

Tried to be stealthy since 2 families playing nearby - I thought they were looking for cache as I approachex. If course I dropped the log so it was irretrievable. At least I didn't burn the kids' ears. so needs a new log. Sorry. I was so excited to get these I left paper (and mask) in car. Anyway, loved cache and someone' s beautiful artwork. TFTC

Out and about in Middle-Earth . . . er, I mean, Middle-Aurora this morning, with "animjason" and "BearAdair" - we enjoyed a variety of adventures with the series of five themed geocaches, this being the third of them. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !
