This is the fourth in a series of caches about The City of Ember book series. The caches are placed on a trail near a public library so you can check out the series after caching, if you want to :). The City of Ember is one of our favorite books, so we figured we'd introduce it to some cachers. It's loved by the children, teens, and adults in our family.

The Diamond of Darkhold

By: Jeanne DuPrau

It’s been several months since Lina and Doon escaped the dying city of Ember and, along with the rest of their people, joined the town of Sparks. Now, struggling through the harsh winter aboveground, they find an unusual book. Torn up and missing most of its pages, it alludes to a mysterious device from before the Disaster, which they believe is still in Ember. Together, Lina and Doon must go back underground to retrieve what was lost and bring light to a dark world.

In the fourth Book of Ember, bestselling author Jeanne DuPrau juxtaposes yet another action-packed adventure with powerful themes about hope, learning, and the search for truth.

On a road trip from Minneapolis to Estes Park for a wedding. I actually met both the bride and groom 7 years ago, on the same night they met each other. Several others from the friend group that followed were also in attendance.

In Minneapolis, most new published hides are found within 15-20 minutes — there’s a culture of some people who really love to collect First To Find honors, and stick around for a little while in case others show up for a {FTF} party. So it’s been strange to find 4 FTFs on this trip, and not even on the same day they were published!

Thanks for the hide here. An easy one!
