Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Available during winter

This cache is about 18 miles south of Kimball, NE near the Pawnee National Grasslands.
My caches sometimes refer to my time in the Marine Corps but they can also reflect my career as a Social Studies/Literature teacher. The well-read geocacher might remember that Don Quixote lived on the plains of La Mancha and chose to tilt at windmills with unfortunate results. This cache is located on the high plains and one can hear the blades of windmills from here although even Don Quixote might hesitate to tangle with these monsters. This cache is a small tube and should not take long to find but pause to enjoy the view! There is another cache about .6 miles south of here so it's worth slowing down to savor the view and bag two in a few minutes. There is a safe pullout very near the cache on the east side of the highway. Log only so bring your own pencil.

Today we drove from Colorado Springs to Custer, South Dakota. On our trip we stopped several times to have a short break and to find a Geocache, like this one. Thanks for hiding, maintaining and as always TFTC, MumDad2000

On a trip from St. Louis to Seattle and seeing the sights in between. I think this is such a pretty area - the rolling hills and buttes fascinate me and keep my imagination working, seeing the wagon trains passing through. Thanks for the fun!
