The old farmstead that you can see from this pasture is obviously no longer the home to anything but cattle. The family that originally owned it moved closer to town. When they moved, they chose to donate a portion of their pasture land to Hope Congregation Church located just down the road from here. The family still owns the rest of the land and the cattle enjoy the shade of the old buildings on warm days.

As others have said, the coordinates are way, way off. This one is not halfway out in someone's field, but 340 feet away just where the description says, at the base of a sign on the other side of the main road. Once we read the other logs, though, we found it quickly.

BugRanger and I wanted a last good caching trip to Eastern Colorado, and targeted the Bethune Cross for a little geo-art. By the time we got here we didn't have a whole lot of daylight left, but zipped along as fast as we could and finished up just at dark, missing only one. I normally dislike cut-and-paste logs, and I'll add comments where warranted anyway, but mostly we got the hang of these hides quickly and really appreciated the fun of the whole thing. TFTC!

Out here with Ladybug Rose and the kids. We looked at the sign across the way before turning the corner to head where the gps was leading. After coming up empty, we looked at the previous logs and went back to the sign we originally thought would be GZ and there it was. TFTC
